Brief Synopsis—Influenced by The Wizard of Oz, a story of a young woman who becomes trapped in her own dream, but does not want to leave. Can her guardian friend convince her before time runs out?

Chapter Four—Where Am I?

When Seraphine awakened, she was lying in a quite nice bed surrounded by trees and plants—a forest. At first she was frightened because she did not know how she got here.

She started to leave her bedside and explored the place. She noticed a beautiful lake filled with lilies. It was heavenly. It was there where she met a beautiful maiden, Guardian Mari.

Guardian Mari was queen of the Great Lily Forest. She was referred to as Guardian Mari because she was Seraphine’s guardian angel who knew everything about Seraphine’s life and who would eventually be her gateway home.

Immediately Guardian Mari did not hesitate to tell Seraphine how she got here and what this place was.

“Welcome Seraphine. Do you know why you are here?” said Guardian Mari.

“Not really, in fact, I don’t know how I got here. I must have been sleeping but when I awoke, I was here.” said Seraphine.

“Seraphine, you should know this place already, because you have seen it before.” said Guardian Mari.

“What do you mean?” said Seraphine.

“You will soon find out, but for now I must leave. I have something of great urgency to do.” said Guardian Mari.

“Don’t leave me here alone. What am I going to do?” said Seraphine.

“Don’t worry, you will find your way to the palace—someone will lead you.” said Guardian Mari.

Seraphine was now by herself in the forest. She thought of what Guardian Mari said and started to roam. Once she hit the Lily lake, it dawned on her.

“Yes, I know of this place! I saw it in my dreams. I have been here before!” said Seraphine.
