One Of The Lucky Ones

One Of The Lucky Ones

Don’t look so down and out
Get away from the outside
It’s only filled with grey clouds
For now
Work with what you have
Push through the muddy waters
That tried to sink you below the ground

You are one of the lucky ones
You just don’t know that yet
You are the one who still held on
When the storms left you soaking wet
You are one of the lucky ones
Once the outcast in the land
Who couldn’t find a helping hand
You are one of the lucky ones
Don’t you forget
Hope hasn’t made it to you yet

Don’t make the dark shadows
Your enclosed space
You got to stay strong, you have to finish
So run this race
Called your current reality
Because soon you will see
What it feels like to be free

You are one of the lucky ones
You just don’t know that yet
You are the one who still held on
When the storms left you soaking wet
You are one of the lucky ones
Once the outcast in the land
Who couldn’t find a helping hand
You are one of the lucky ones
Don’t you forget
Hope hasn’t made it to you yet

One day the morning sun will rise
And you won’t remember a time
When there were clouds in the sky
One day the world will be bright and blue
All you’ll remember are the things told to you
You are one of the lucky ones…

You are one of the lucky ones
You just don’t know that yet
You are the one who still held on
When the storms left you soaking wet
You are one of the lucky ones
Once the outcast in the land
Who couldn’t find a helping hand
You are one of the lucky ones
Don’t you forget
Hope hasn’t made it to you yet
